Abstract

Women in leadership are increasingly expected to navigate transformation, build resilient teams, and inspire trust in environments shaped by uncertainty, restructuring, and rapid technological change. Yet most leadership development frameworks still focus on structure and strategy, while overlooking the human dynamics that determine whether a leader's message actually lands. This session examines how conscious communication and storytelling — when used intentionally — become some of the most powerful and underutilized leadership tools available to women today. Drawing on over fifteen years of facilitating, moderating, and speaking with global organizations including UNICEF, Liberty Global, Virgin Media O2, EIT Food, SIKA, and Sunrise, the presentation explores why people resist change, what audiences actually need to move forward, and how leaders can influence and persuade without manipulation or performance. It blends storytelling, human behavior, and innovation practices to turn complex organizational topics into shared human experiences. Participants will discover the structure behind stories that move people to act, how to find the message their audience actually needs to hear, and how to lead with clarity, presence, and humanity through pressure. The session is dynamic, unscripted where it matters, and deeply engaging — pulling audiences into the conversation rather than keeping them as passive listeners. Attendees will leave with new language for what they have been navigating, practical communication shifts they can apply immediately, and a renewed understanding that the most powerful leadership skill is, often, simply learning to listen and tell the story that matters.
