Biography

Lopa Gandhi more then over 20 years of experience in the field of education and women empowerment, I have donned many hats; teaching, developing curricula, training, coaching and leading organizations. After gaining rich experience from my work at Akanksha, Kaivalya and Muktangan among others, I started Ugam Education Foundation in the year 2015. 

Ugam’s mission is to catalyse the education and empowerment of girls by creating model KGBVs (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya) in partnership with district education systems and facilitating processes so that young women become role models and community leaders.
